Scaplen's Court at Poole Museum
An exhibition of ceramics and art by David Pointer and Kathryn Thomas
@dorsetartweeks is the largest visual arts event of its kind in Dorset, offering an extensive variety of art from traditional to contemporary, showcased by Dorset artists, makers, and designers through open studios and exhibitions.
The aim is to empower Dorset's creatives by offering more opportunities for participation. This includes encouraging artists to open their studios, form new group exhibitions, discover novel locations to display their work, and much more.Â
Dorset Art Weeks will take place 23 May - 7 June 2026.
And talking of novel locations, Scaplen’s Court and Garden in Poole Old Town is a Grade I listed 14th century building, a Tudor merchants house open to everyone following a transformational redevelopment of the entire @poolemuseum estate over the last three years.
Â
Open year round, 7 days a week, with a warm welcome from volunteers, full accessibility and has the fabulous @the_salt_pig café on site.
To this triumphant renovation with restored buildings and walled garden, add two Poole based artists, ceramicist David Pointer and painter Kathryn Thomas and you have Venue 95, full of colour and waiting for your visit.
